And speaking of Sandy Beach Drive – the park and playground are a great spot for a Sunday adventure, the beach is criminally underrated – clean surf, island views, rock gardens to explore and wide wide wide expanses of sand to throw a frisbee or indulge in beach cricket and, yes, of course Rod has sampled the burgers at Sandy Beachouse & General Store (and reports they are a fine burger indeed).

Just north, are the delights of shopping, cafes, restaurants, breweries and the famous Seaview Tavern at Woolgoolga; adventure seekers would love kite surfing at Flat Rock, taking a walk over  Bare Bluff, or hitting the trails at Dirt Serpent, both an easy drive away – and you’re still only 20 minutes to Coffs (if you could ever tear yourself away from the Beach).

Over the last 5 years median house prices in Sandy Beach have almost doubled, with RP Data noting $850K is the new median house price, with median rent returns at $600 per week. Given the variety of home styles to choose from in Sandy it’s worth doing some research into homes that will either fit your budget, or your lifestyle.
